SUMMARY:Romanian History I: Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nRomanian History: Part I\, (3 quarters): This class is designed for students who want to learn about Romanian history\, including major personalities who steered the destiny of Romanians and their neighbors. Continuing the exploration of cultural identity and heritage through history\, students will enlarge their vocabulary and expand their reading\, listening\, and writing skills. Conceived as a three-quarter class\, we will go over crucial events starting with the Roman-Dacian wars\, the formation of the Romanian provinces\, and pursuing iconic leaders from Mircea the Elder\, Vlad the Impaler\, and Stephan to Alexandru Ioan Cuza and Carol I. The students will be engaged in attractive projects that will help them discover who their ancestors were and how they earned their place in European history.\n\nNovice to Intermediate knowledge of Romanian is required.
