ARCS is a proud supporter of The New Year That Never Came, an official selection of the 51st Seattle International Film Festival and a debut feature by director Bogdan Mureșanu.

About the film: Six lives intertwine in the days leading up to the 1989 Romanian revolution in this darkly funny ensemble film about living under Communist rule. Winner of the 2024 Venice Film Festival’s Horizons Award and the Palm Springs New Voices/New Visions Grand Jury Prize.

Playing May 18th and May 19th at AMC Pacific Place. You can also watch it virtually May 26th - June 1st.
