Biography

My name is Lili, the creator behind GlassArtography. Born in Romania and now based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, my journey into art has been anything but conventional. With a background in computer science, I spent many years in the corporate world before choosing a more expressive path rooted in creativity.

My artistic journey began with a new camera and a desire to explore photography, which taught me to see the world through fresh perspectives. During the stillness of the 2020 pandemic, I joined a mixed media workshop and rekindled a long-lost love for colored glass. That rediscovery sparked something powerful: I began combining painting with shattered glass to create unique, light-catching pieces rich in texture and dimension. That’s how GlassArtography was born.

I’m a self-taught artist deeply inspired by nature and the vibrant colors that surround us. My work exists at the intersection of imagination, art, and innovation, a space where creativity has no limits.

GlassArtography is more than a brand. It is a journey of transformation, a journey of turning fragments into beauty, and light into emotion.

Artist Statement

My work explores the intersection of fragility and strength through mixed-media floral compositions. Each piece begins as a painted surface, layered with carefully arranged glass, and sealed to create depth and luminosity as light moves across the work. Inspired by nature’s delicate beauty, I focus on two-dimensional floral designs, using texture and shimmer to bring flowers to life in unexpected ways.

The contrast between delicate forms and sharp materials invites viewers to see resilience, movement, and beauty within natural elements. My glass artwork is created for those seeking quiet reflection and a moment of pause. Through light, texture, and layered materials, I aim to help viewers feel grounded, renewed, and reconnected to beauty, calm and the gentle rhythms of the natural world.

Featured Artwork

Seasons of Becoming explores the cycles of growth, resilience, and renewal through the rhythms of nature and human experience. Each of the four pieces, Frozen Petals (Winter), First Light in Bloom (Spring), Petals of Heat (Summer), and The Quiet Glow (Autumn), uses layered glass, paint, and resin to capture the delicate balance between fragility and strength. Inspired by the natural world, the series reflects personal and collective stories of transformation, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with the quiet power inherent in each stage of life.
