Language Classes

Our Romanian Heritage Language School offers innovative virtual classes and workshops for children, youth and adults with Romanian background or with an interest to learn Romanian, nationwide.

Most courses take place over three quarters (fall, winter and spring) and include 10 weekly lessons. Semester courses include 15 lessons. Small groups include 4-7 students.

Our teaching methods are based on the core principles of Heritage Language Education to nourish bilingualism and address holisitically the bi-cultural identity of our students through project- based activities, play, authentic sources, critical thinking, and meaningful interactions with their families and communities.

Our students gain pride and confidence as heritage language speakers and learners of Romanian, while developing a global understanding of the world.

Registration
After you register and pay, you will receive a zoom link from your instructor one week before the start of the course. 

Schedule
We will work with parents and students to find the best times and days that work for you. Some classes may be available on Saturday. Please fill out the registration form to let us know your availability.

Attendance
Weekly attendance is important to the student’s success. A certificate of completion will be awarded after the end of a quarter/semester, provided the student did not miss more than one class.

Students are encouraged to keep practicing between classes to ensure the best results for  language proficiency.

Payment
Quarter courses are $250 (60 minute classes x 10 weeks) and semester courses are $375 (60 minute classes x 15 weeks).

Cancellations
ARCS reserves the right to cancel a class if the number of students is too low. Cancellations made in the first 7 days of the course will incur a 15% fee. Cancellations made in the first 14 days of the course will incur a 30% fee. No refund for cancellations made later.
